Two for One

Do you ever get those advertisements in the mail from car dealerships that all you have to do is match your number with the one at the dealership?
I have a hobby of taking them up on the offer. Usually I get the $1000 online shopping spree (all you have to is pay shipping which is more than the value of the item), Vacation package (all you have to do is pay to get to Florida), or $5 gift card. Heather has won a computer from a dealership. They usually ask if I would like to look at a new car, to which I reply "only if they could get me two for the price I am paying for my one". The response is alway no, so I take the cash or gift card and leave.
Well Saturday April 26th was no different, I packed the family in our car and headed to the dealership. The ad said hamburger and hot dogs would be available. I went in and asked about my $25 gift card I suppose to win, then came the question about looking at a new car. I gave my usual response, but this time they said sure they could. So off we went to look at some used cars (easier to mark up the value to even out what we are "upside down" on our current car.) We looked at a few cars and trucks. After a breakdown by Eva and Heather because they were hungry (their promoter pulled out at the last moment so no burgers or hot dogs), the dealership bought us lunch from Wendy's. With food in our bellies and realization that our car (2005 Beige Ford Taurus) was worth way less than we owed (and just paid to get rid of the hail damage which should of totaled it).

We finally decided on two that we liked.
Heather a 2007 Blue Ford Taurus

Allen a 2006 Red Ford F150.

We spent 8+ hours at the dealership, which Eva and Evan handled very well. And an extra 2 hours on Monday to resign all the paperwork due to a dealership mistake.
We ended up paying a little more, but almost Two for One.

I think your explanation helped me more than what I got from Heather over the phone.

I almost forgot - THANK YOU for the shirt! It will fit into this household perfectly! It's a little big right now, but give him a year or so and he will be all over it. We love it!
