Flying and Peace

As many of you know flylady.net, can be an awesome resource. I found in order to embrace all the concepts I needed to match them with gospel truths and of course my situation.  Building routines with baby steps is just like the counsel "line upon line, precept upon precept." Positive perspective on ourselves, family, and homes is the same as the reminder "our bodies are temples" and "make your home a heaven on earth."  When we bless our homes we are serving family and others that come to visit.
So I am proud to announce that our home has been clean for a week, we are all slowly learning important routines like: every thing we love has a home, putting things away as soon as finishing, a shiny sink can be lead to a clean productive kitchen, and decluttering unloved items can bless us and others lives.

Best example this week: Last week I scheduled the Missionaries to come for dinner Tuesday night before finding out I needed an emergency root canal. The only time the dentist and Allen's schedules matched was Tuesday morning.  So, I focused hard on sticking to basic routines and adding only a few small projects. Everything went well we planned our menus to have potluck roast that night. I got up early and made pancakes for breakfast. Calendar said, "Eva field trip- sack lunch" all disposable items. Allen took the kids to school, while I did the morning routine (dishes, reboot landry, put dinner in crock pot, kids and me more fully washed and dressed). He only needed stop once to pick up water bottles from the store (Evan needed one for his field trip Thursday). I had time to declutter more in the computer room. Everything went so well I had the energy to make homemade french bread and Allen made cookies in our clean kitchen. After dinner a family walk and kitchen cleaned again. Then mother-in-law called to make arrangements for a surprise visit Friday, and I was at peace and excited. The Missionaries said the only characteristic of the spirit that can not be duplicated by the devil is peace.
Flying with peace, Heather
