Count your blessings

I need to take my own advice that I gave a friend. When she said she wanted to give up because she would never reach her goal, I said,
"Count your blessings" and evaluate if the goal is the one the Lord has for you.
Two days before Lucia's two week birthday the doctor is concerned that she has not gained back her birth weight and may have a milk allergy. So back to pumping and special formula. This is actually all new to me, so it was good to have Allen at the appointment because the only other alternative was a hospital stay for testing. Yes, I am scared and upset wondering why my milk is not good enough this time, if I did something wrong by praying for a smaller child.
Ok enough crying, Heavenly Father is incharge! After praying these thoughts came, He sent Lucia here early to get help. I do have a health little girl and I am still a good mom.My milk may still be needed later with restictions or for others. Prayers and phone calls are always welcomed. I love you all!

Both my girls lost a frightening amount of weight after birth, since my milk never came in. We switched to formula about 10 days old, and never had problems after that. I was a little sad not to breast feed but very, very happy to have a good alternative to keep my children alive and healthy! Good luck to you and little Lucia!

PS: You can always call William and talk to him about our feeding ups and downs. :)
