Technically we already made 10 states so I can stop now.
We left Colorado and drove East through Hays Kansas then turned South at Salina Kansas. And we drove South, and South and more South. It was a breathe of fresh air to cross the Red River in to Texas. We made it home around 6pm and ended up sending my mother off around 7pm to drive the rest of the way by her self to Moody.
It was at this point I was finally able to get on the internet and see some online news. While in Wyoming the had one of the highway signs that said be on the look out for a black Dodge Dakota while we were in the Laramie area. Come to find out that the day before an ex-sniper sniped his soon to be ex wife in a bar in Laramie and they were looking for him and his truck the day we drove through. (States we visited: 10. Colorado, 3. Kansas, 2. Oklahoma, 1. TEXAS) Only one state we did not step foot in Montana. States that Heather and my mom drove in NONE. Number of nights in a motel..3.
