Eva, Evan and I went to the Tyler Zoo on April Fool's day, no joke. It was a planned "field trip" for our combined church pre-school groups. We crammed three adults, seven car seats, and one buster seat into a 14 passenger stretch van.
We arrived one hour later and had lunch first, potty breaks to wash hands and then to see the animals.
First we went to pet the goats. Evan had a blast! On goat tried to eat the lock on door leading out of the pen. The caretaker said, "No, Liberty, No." What a perfect name for an escaping goat.
Eva would not poise for a picture until the caretaker said they made the tree stumps just the right height for the children to sit and pet the goats.
There were grooming brushes too, and of course another round of washing hands after exiting the pen for the tour of the rest of the zoo.
Everyone had received a map at the enterance and a stamp on there hand to show payment. Eva was very proud of both. She followed the map telling us which animals were next and didn't want to wash her hands but so how I convinced her or maybe it was the cool animal head washing area (sorry no picture I was busy washing hands).
We continued past the birds, anteaters, and Rhinos. The children kept saying "Where are the giraffas?" Big show stopper: Eva in the purple coat with the side pony tail. The weather was cool 60s with a 20% chance of rain. As you can see it will be hard to get the children to poise with the animals and see the children's faces too.

We encountered some amazing animals, most of which the adults knew, but the greatest part is hearing what names the children gave the animals.

Evan loved the frog and snake house, but maybe that was because I let him out of his stroller to walk through. We had a grreat time at the Zoo.
