Eva is ready!
Evan is ready!
Garin is ready too!
Ready to make memories! At the age of 14, my father came home from work and told my mother, "Get the kids in the car, I have something to show you." He then went and got his camera and we quickly headed to the car because this had to be a special trip. I knew it had been a rough day for my mom and the thought of giving us kids a field trip was not on the top of her list of priorities, but as a mother today I know there was at least the relief of getting out of the house for a short time (especially when there were 9 of us). Dad took us to Las Colinas to see this:
And we loved it! I always wanted to take my children. Now that Eva loves horses and shares that love with her brothers. It became a must see attraction. So, when we went to Dallas to visit my mother after her surgery; we surprised the kids with the stop.
It took some time to find it, because Allen had "google-mapped" it based on my 13year old memory and directions where off from the hospital instead of the home. So the suspense was thick, but worth it.
I remember the horses being in more shallow water and we waded through with them. the water is deeper but you know kids can't resist a water opportunity.
My dad took pictures of us playing. I remember holding my little sister Mary up on one of the horses for a pose.
And I think it was that memory that made me want to bring my own children. I think they have added a few more colts to the collection from 20 years old, but not sure. There is a sign now that says: "Don't get on the sculptures Please!" So we didn't and still had fun.
Allen had fun too!

Many great family memories continued and more will come.
