We love the way he snuggles and "hangs" around. His language is still limited to the rest of the world, but understandable to mom of course.
His favorite place to play in the back yard is not the swings and grass as much as the dirt (if there is a small shovel around).
#1 answer: The charcoal! Have you ever seen charcoal snot!
Today:
"Bug! Bug!" Garin wails as he points out the cricket on the floor. "Yes, bug leave it alone it will not hurt you" I say. If Garin followed instructions, I would not be blogging. He went back let the bug jump on his foot and came wailing again, same response from me. Then I get busy with Karen and here he comes again, this time the bug is squished between his fingers. First reaction: "EEWWW! throw that bug in the trash! Now!" Second thought: Poor bug, I should have warned it instead of Garin. Last thought: "Do I wash Garin's hands now? He will probably promptly pick up another bug shortly after if I do. I have a real boy/curious monkey on my hands!"
Don't take me wrong I love Evan and he can get in some major messes, but usually the messes involve other people.
Garin is a self starter, I saw it in his eyes long ago, but never understood his potential. I could use all the support I can get, because I know this is only the beginning. I know I am not alone, HELP!
