Substitute #1

There is a time in all our lives when we are the substitute.  This past month several opportunities have opened to me and my family.
#1
First one thinks a substitute is just a  "sitter", but it is much more.  Our family started out "sitting" a friend's dog.  A light brown bugle/hound mix, "Burben," while the family was on summer vacation.  I understand substituting as more than sitting, it is keeping order, commitment,  and love present.  So we tried to help this four legged family member happy.  He had never been away from his family in five human years so this was difficult.  Long story shortened, his family returned knowing that they could not keep him forever and tried to help him adjust but he didn't.  Help was needed they brought treats, Ham, and finally his brother (black "Tex") over.  I was over-whelmed, two furry boys in our backyard! We can't keep them both, but we were willing to choose one.  The substitute won!

We have a new member of our family, the substitute,  "Tex"!
